Ranunculus

Ranunculus, my new favorite flower. Okay, I know the name is tough to love or even pronounce, but the flowers sure aren't, just look at them! The name ranunculus, I just found out translates to "little frog" in Latin... probably because the flowers are generally grown near swampy water, like frogs. Everything else about the lush flowers speaks of it's romantic beauty. The billowy bouquet of tightly budded petals take my breath away.

Once cut, the ranunculus can last up to week, making it the perfect bridal bouquet piece, I know I'll have a lot. This is one frog I wouldn't mind kissing...
